Dr. Gierad Laput is an Engineering Manager at Apple, where he leads the Perception and Interaction Engineering group under Machine Intelligence Neural Design at AIML. He completed his Ph.D. at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science, where he was a founding member of the Future Interfaces Group. He is a recipient of the Google Ph.D. Fellowship, the Fast Company Innovation by Design Award, along with nine Best Paper Awards and Nominations at premier venues in human-computer interaction.
