The National Centre for Biotechnology (Centro Nacional de Biotecnología, CNB) forms part of the Spanish National Research Council (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC). The centre's mission is providing innovative solutions to four major societal challenges faced by European citizens, namely Infectious Diseases, Inflammation and Cancer, Sustainability of Food Production, and Environmental Pollution.
